CoBank is a member of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of lending institutions specifically chartered to provide dependable credit to farmers, ranchers, cooperatives and other rural borrowers. With over $200 billion in combined assets, the System is the largest provider of financial services to the nation's rural economy.

In addition to its direct retail borrowers in the agribusiness and rural infrastructure industries, CoBank serves as a wholesale provider of financing to 29 Farm Credit associations that, in turn, deliver credit to more than 70,000 farmers and ranchers in 23 states across the country.
