Douglas E. Wilhelm
Chief Risk Officer
As chief risk officer for CoBank, Doug Wilhelm provides leadership and guidance on all key risk areas of the bank, including credit risk, operational risk, asset/liability risk and market risk, and reputational risk. Mr. Wilhelm has managed several areas within CoBank, including credit, financial planning, and capitalization functions. Mr. Wilhelm also serves on the Management Executive Committee, Asset/Liability Committee and Country Risk Committee and is a member of the bank’s Senior Leadership Team.
From 1972 to 1988, he held various financial and accounting management functions for the Texas Bank for Cooperatives (BC) and Farm Credit Bank of Texas, including chief financial officer of the Texas BC from 1980 to 1985. The Texas BC was a predecessor bank to CoBank.
Mr. Wilhelm was raised on a west Texas farm and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University. Mr. Wilhelm serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Food Bank of the Rockies.
