Robert O’Toole is senior vice president of human resources for CoBank. He is responsible for the bank’s talent acquisition and retention strategies, compensation and payroll, employee benefits, and organizational development initiatives including leadership, training, diversity, and engagement. Mr. O’Toole is a member of CoBank’s Senior Leadership Team, as well as the bank’s Operating, Retirement Trust, and Health and Welfare Benefits committees.
Mr. O’Toole has more than 25 years of experience in human resources. Prior to joining CoBank in 2001, he was with ING Group. Mr. O’Toole is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Colorado Human Resource Association, and American Society for Training and Development.
Mr. O’Toole earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in human resources management from Chapman University. O'Toole is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
