As president of CoBank Farm Credit Leasing, Russ Nelson is responsible for overall management of FCL and leading the organization’s staff in 15 regional offices across rural America. Mr. Nelson is based in Minneapolis, Minn. and is a member of CoBank's Senior Leadership Team.

Before being named president of FCL in 2006, Mr. Nelson served as the FCL’s senior vice president and chief credit officer. Mr. Nelson brings more than 34 years of credit experience in commercial agribusiness lending and leasing. He joined CoBank in 1976, and during his tenure has served as vice president and team leader for grain and farm supply customers the bank’s Minneapolis office. He’s also served as a senior portfolio manager in CoBank’s Wichita and Omaha offices.

Mr. Nelson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska.
