Over the years, CoBank has
worked to help cooperatives grow and prosper in the U.S. and around the
world. We have helped form cooperatives to serve new
or expanded markets. We also help identify new opportunities in
domestic and international markets for cooperative products or services. We
assist in the training and development of cooperative directors,
managers and associates.
We support education and development for
domestic and international charitable organizations that aid
cooperatives such as state and regional cooperative councils and
domestic and international organizations including ACDI/VOCA (formed by
the merger of Agricultural
Cooperative Development International and Volunteers in Overseas
Cooperative Assistance) and Cooperative Development
Foundation (CDF)/United
Co-op Appeal (UCA). Our support for U.S. cooperatives includes
membership and active participation in the National Cooperative Business Association (NCBA),
the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC), The Burdick
Cooperative Center and the National Society of Accountants for
Cooperatives (NSAC). |
