Position Summary:
Provides PC hardware and software problem
determination and resolution including repair, removal
and replacement of components, initial hardware/software
configurations, installation, physical moves, and
coordination of hardware maintenance service. Delivers
basic end-user training/machine orientation as needed.
Knowledge and Skills:
High School diploma and 2 - 3 years
experience supporting desktop operating systems and
applications including Microsoft Operating Systems,
e-mail applications, and major desktop productivity
tools (e.g., MS Office) in an enterprise environment; or
appropriate combination of education and experience.
Experience in banking or financial services industry and
bachelor’s degree preferred. A+, MCP or MCSE
certification or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience in IT Service Management and Operating
Methodologies (e.g., ITIL). Experience troubleshooting
issues as second or third level support for desktop
applications, local/networking printing, e-mail,
connectivity, remote access and hardware issues for
desktop and laptop equipment, printers and peripherals
(e.g., PDA’s). Ability to communicate with technical
and non-technical users to articulate, analyze and
resolve issues over the telephone and in person.
Other Requirements:
Occasional travel required. Ability to
provide 24 x 7 on-call support. Ability to lift, move
and relocate equipment, monitors and peripherals
weighing up to 75 lbs. |
