Senior Manager, Information Technology
Position Summary:
Performs server administrator
responsibilities including architecture,
implementation, engineering, configuration,
and administration of hardware and software
in CoBank’s Microsoft Information Technology
(IT) Infrastructure including but not
limited to Windows NT/2000/2003. Provides
24x7 support for the diagnosis and
resolution of problems. Develops and
maintains documentation and
processes/procedures for operating the
environment. Mentors other administrators
and may lead other staff on major projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and
6+ years experience implementing,
configuring and administering Windows
servers, including 1+ years administering
Active Directory and Citrix Metaframe, 3+
years experience working with a major
network monitoring tools (e.g., HP OpenView,
BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, etc), and 2+ years
experience working with SAN/NAS
technologies; or appropriate combination of
education and experience. Experience in
banking or financial services industry
preferred. MSCE, UNIX, Linux, or other
similar certification is preferred.
Extensive working experience with VMware (ESX),
and with Linux Operating System. Knowledge
of most current developments in Microsoft
server technology. Advanced knowledge of
networking components and protocols (e.g.
router, switch, hub, TCPIP, VPN). Knowledge
of IT Service Management and Operating
methodologies (e.g., ITIL). Ability to work
directly with customers and vendors.
Other Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication
skills. Ability to work independently and
in a team environment. Some travel
required.
