REPORTS TO:
Director, Management Reporting & Budgeting
Position Summary:
Prepares financial analyses, reports, and
recommendations on strategic financial decisions.
Advises senior management and other bank officers on
financial issues. Supports business units regarding the
accounting and finance function by understanding the
challenges, opportunities, and concerns facing the
group. Contributes to development and maintenance of
the bank’s budget and forecast reporting systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant
discipline and 5-7 years accounting or finance
experience, including 1-3 years management accounting
experience, preferably in financial services
institutions or related industry; or appropriate
combination of education and experience. MBA, CPA/CFA
preferred. Working knowledge of “best practices” in
budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting of
large commercial financial institutions. Knowledge of
Farm Credit Systems and or specific business groups
preferred. Knowledge of financial reporting systems,
generally accepted accounting principles, banking trends
and techniques, and their applications. Advanced skills
performing technical analysis utilizing spreadsheets,
database and other personal computer functions.
Other Requirements:
Ability to successfully manage complex financial
projects under stringent time constraints as gained
through progressively more responsible financial
institution experience.
Ability to prioritize workload
effectively and to work with all levels of management
and staff. Ability to research, compile data and present
results of research and analysis. Excellent problem
solving and decision making skills. Some travel
