Position Summary:
Analyzes, designs, develops, configures,
tests and implements changes to new and existing custom
and third party applications at CoBank. Provides
business hours and after hours support for existing
applications. May provide technical direction and
guidance to less experienced technical staff.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science,
information systems, engineering or relevant discipline
and 3 – 10 years experience, preferably in banking or
financial services industry; or appropriate combination
of education and experience. 3+ years of Microsoft
development technologies including: VB/VB.Net, SQL
Server 2000/2005, ASP/ASP.Net, COM/DCOM, Web Services,
and the .NET framework is required. 3+ years Microsoft
SQL Server tools and database design concepts including:
Stored Procedures, Triggers, and DTS and/or SQL Server
Integration Services is also required.
Experience with XML preferred. Familiarity with ERP
systems is preferred. Familiarity to intermediate
knowledge of Source Code Control tools such as PVCS or
Visual Source Safe. Intermediate knowledge in at least
one system design/development methodology (RUP, SDLC,
BIM, etc.) is desired. Familiarity with SQL Server
Reporting Services and Integration Services is a plus.
Familiarity to intermediate knowledge of Crystal Reports
or similar reporting tools, automated job scheduling
tools such as Control-M or Autosys, and Microsoft Server
products such as SharePoint, Oracle (PL/SQL), HTML, IIS,
Unix or PeopleSoft (SQR & PeopleTools) is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, oral and
written communications skills. Ability to work
effectively independently and in a team environment.
Occasional travel required. Available for off-hours,
on-call production support. |
