Position Summary:
Analyzes, designs, develops, configures, tests and
implements changes to new and existing custom and third
party applications at CoBank. Provides business hours
and after hours support for existing applications. May
provide technical direction and guidance to less
experienced technical staff.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information
systems, engineering or relevant discipline and 3 – 10
years experience, preferably in banking or financial
services industry; or appropriate combination of
education and experience. Primary skills necessary for
job functions are SQL Server 2005, SQL Server
Integration Services, XML, knowledge of process
automation, and experience maintaining and supporting
customer facing production systems. Knowledge of data
integration process and support practices for working
with 3rd party products as well as 3+ years
Microsoft SQL Server tools and database design concepts
including stored procedures and triggers is required.
Exposure to Oracle, Unix and/or WebSphere is helpful,
but not required. Intermediate to advanced experience in
programming languages, databases, and development tools
such as: VB/VB.Net, SQL Server 2000/2005, ASP/ASP.Net,
Web Services, and the .NET framework is desirable.
Intermediate knowledge in at least one system
design/development methodology (RUP, SDLC, BIM, etc.) is
desirable. Familiarity to intermediate knowledge of
Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools, automated
job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys,
Source Code Control tools such as PVCS or Visual Source
Safe, Microsoft Server products such as SharePoint, SQL
Server Reporting Services, HTML, IIS, or PeopleSoft (SQR
& PeopleTools) is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, oral
and written communications skills. Ability to work
effectively independently and in a team environment.
Occasional travel required. Available for off-hours,
on-call production support. |
