Industry Involvement

CoBank stands beside you as a member of 40 industry associations, including Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO), National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA), American Cable Association (ACA), Rural Telecom Group (RTG), Rural Independent Competitive Alliance (RICA) and Western Telecommunications Alliance (WTA). We recognize the value these groups provide to the rural communications industry and are committed to helping advance their work.

Our communications experts are closely involved with many of the organizations, sitting on their Boards of Directors and actively participating in member committees. CoBank has representatives on the Boards of Directors for Telergee, Western Telecommunications Alliance and NTCA's Foundation to Rural Services, as well as OPASTCO’s Education and Associate Member Committees. Additionally, CoBank communications experts sit on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee of the Foundation for Rural Education and Development, the foundation affiliated with OPASTCO.

Because CoBank is a member of the Farm Credit System, we are limited in the type of organizations to which we are able to loan.
