An Outstanding Program

Every two years, CoBank sponsors its exclusive Agribusiness Board Leaders Conference, which features an outstanding lineup designed to address the economic, business and political issues important to board members of agricultural cooperatives, Farm Credit Associations and other enterprises. The event will also give attendees the opportunity to network with industry peers and enjoy other activities in a world-class venue.

This year's event will feature a wide variety of compelling speakers, including Co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, Walter Robb, former U.S. Trade Representative, Ron Kirk, Mike Steep on disruptive technology, Austan Goolsbee on the economy, a political point-counterpoint between Josh Earnest (D) and Ed Gillespie (R), as well as CoBank CEO, Tom Halverson, on the challenges, opportunities and disruptive changes facing key industries in the U.S. rural economy.

There is no charge to attend the conference beyond your travel and hotel expenses. Make your hotel reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability. Attire for all business sessions is resort casual. Jackets are appropriate for the opening reception, but ties are not necessary.

Or, if you prefer, please reserve through the online reservation system for our group, using the group booking code of CBLCBLA to receive the preferred rate.

The number of rooms available at this rate is limited, so please make your reservation as soon as possible. The group room rate will be available for three days after the conference, on a space available basis. After the reservation deadline of August 3, the group rate will no longer be available. Please note that the hotel requires notification of cancellation 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date in order to avoid a penalty fee of the first and last nights’ room and tax.

Parking

Only valet parking is available at the resort at a reduced rate of $25 per day for CoBank guests.

Gratuities

Valet, bellman and housekeeping gratuities are at your discretion and will not automatically be charged to your bill.

Travel and Ground Transportation

The nearest airport to the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), which is approximately 15 minutes’ drive from the resort. For driving directions and information about ground transportation, please visit the Map and Directions section of the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage’s website.

If you plan to bring a guest or spouse, they must be registered in advance. To make this process easier, you can now add your guest as part of your registration by simply clicking on the box that says, “I plan to bring a guest” and then provide his/her personal information as requested. Please be sure to correctly indicate the number of attendees for each meal function with the drop-down choices.

If you are registering on behalf of another individual, please make sure to use their email address when completing the form so that their registration information will be unique. There will be an opportunity for you to add your information in as well so that you will receive copies of the confirmation details.

If your guest/spouse plans to participate in the outing, please be sure to select that agenda item when you provide their information. Space is limited on the spouse tour so advanced registration is required.

Once you have completed the information for all registrants, be sure to click on “Finish My Registration” in order to finalize your attendance at the meeting. Once you have completed this process, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration is incomplete. Cancellation Policy

If you / your guest are unable to attend the meeting, it is required that you cancel your online registration a minimum of three business days prior to the start date of the meeting. To cancel, use the link in your email registration confirmation to change or cancel your registration record. Or you can simply send notice of cancellation to corp.comm@cobank.com. Thank you for your courtesy in this regard as late cancellations and no-shows represent a significant cost to CoBank.

On Thursday, September 6, spouses and guests will have a unique opportunity to experience the vintage glamour of the Palm Springs Area.

The tour begins with a customized tour of the celebrity haven known as the Palm Springs Movie Colony, including a tour of the Dinah Shore Estate, now owned by Leonardo DiCaprio. Next on the agenda is lunch at Eight4Nine, located in the fashionable Uptown Design District of Palm Springs. After lunch the group will continue their tour, concluding at the Marilyn Monroe Estate.

Buses will depart the Ritz-Carlton at 10:30 a.m. and return at approximately 3:00 p.m. Dress for the spouse program is casual – please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers.
