Executive Vice President, Farm Credit Banking Group (Retiring)
Bill Davis is CoBank’s executive vice president of the Farm Credit Banking Group. In this role, Mr. Davis is responsible for CoBank’s funding relationships with the bank’s 21 affiliated associations and other Farm Credit institutions. Prior to this, he served as CoBank’s chief credit officer overseeing credit approval and administrative functions, including loan approval, credit support and analysis, credit guidelines and training, loan compliance and monitoring, collateral audit, and special assets. He serves on the board of directors of AgVantis, Inc., a service provider to Farm Credit System associations, the board of directors of Farm Credit Leasing and on the CoBank Retirement Trust Committee. He is also a member of CoBank’s Management Executive Committee.
Before joining CoBank in 2017, Mr. Davis was chief credit officer for Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit, a CoBank-affiliated association that operates under a strategic alliance with FCSAmerica. Previously, Mr. Davis had served as FCSAmerica’s senior vice president of credit and director of credit underwriting. Prior to joining FCSAmerica, he held senior credit positions with Farm Credit Services of Western Missouri and the Farm Credit Bank of St. Louis. He began his career as an assistant vice president and branch manager with the Federal Land Bank Association in Missouri.
Mr. Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska and a master of agribusiness degree from Kansas State University.
