Robert F. West

Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Banking Group

Rob West is executive vice president of CoBank’s Infrastructure Banking Group with responsibility for more than $21 billion in loans to rural electric, power, water, communications and community facilities customers. Mr. West is a member of CoBank’s Management Executive Committee.

Mr. West joined CoBank in 1996 after six years with Shawmut National Bank of Hartford, Connecticut. While at Shawmut, he served as director/team leader, managing more than $1.3 billion in commitments to the communications and media industries.

Mr. West has more than 35 years of commercial lending experience, including positions with Banque Indosuez in Chicago and Firstmark Financial in Indianapolis. Mr. West's lending background has covered a broad range of communications and media businesses, including rural LEC, cellular, paging, competitive access providers, facilities-based long-distance carriers, long-distance resellers, cable television providers, security monitoring companies, satellite-based communications, broadcasters, publishing and cable networks.

Mr. West earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ball State University.
