Timothy Curran to retire as CoBank’s chief risk officer in 2027
DENVER (August 17, 2026) — CoBank, a cooperative bank serving agribusinesses, rural infrastructure providers and Farm Credit associations throughout the United States, today announced that Chief Risk Officer Timothy Curran will retire in 2027.
Curran was appointed as chief risk officer in 2017 and has responsibility for the bank’s risk management framework, including significant policies and practices, and leadership on overall risk governance and mitigation in areas including credit, operational, asset/liability, market, liquidity, fraud and anti-money laundering, enterprise security and insurance risk. Curran joined CoBank after more than 30 years of experience in the financial services and commodity markets, having worked and lived on three continents. Curran is a member of the bank’s Management Executive Committee and chairs its Risk Committee.

The bank has launched a formal search process for Curran’s successor, and Curran will assist the bank in ensuring a smooth transition. Curran’s retirement date has been preliminarily scheduled for the summer of 2027, subject to the appointment of his successor.
