Danny Munch is lead economist for farm economy and agricultural markets in CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange research division. Prior to joining CoBank in 2026, Danny spent more than five years as an economist with the American Farm Bureau Federation, authoring more than 130 economic analyses on topics ranging from dairy and specialty crop markets to transportation, disaster programs, natural resources and the broader farm economy. He regularly presents research to agricultural audiences nationwide, with his work also featured in major national media outlets. Earlier in his career, Danny worked as a commodity analyst covering protein markets at Urner Barry (now Expana).
Danny earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut, where he double majored in livestock management and policy and resource economics, and a master’s degree in agricultural and food economics from Cornell University. A Connecticut native, Danny grew up being active in 4-H and Northeast agriculture.
